Brian Shrum, M.S, CSCS, PES, NASE


Brian is a current Doctoral student at Rocky Mountain University specializing in human and sport performance with an emphasis in soccer specific speed and fatigue. He is also the women’s soccer assistant coach at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. He has been a coach in the Western Pennsylvania area since 1995, most notably at St. Vincent’s University and California University of Pennsylvania, where he served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. Shrum has also served as the assistant Director of Coaching for the girl’s PA West ODP Program while also leading Southmoreland High School to a 107-43-8 record in an 8 year span. Shrum is a USSF “A” licensed coach with a masters degree in sports enhancement from CalU. Shrum is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist. He also owns and operates his own fitness consulting business, Nitro Fitness and Sports Enhancement.

Josh Faga, M.B.A, SSC, PES


Josh Faga is a Specialist in Strength and Conditioning through the International Sports Sciences Association. In addition, he is a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Josh is also a World Football Academy Specialist in Football Periodisation. Josh works daily with subjective data collection of arbitrary training load units comparatively to player wellness. He also manages training stress balance using acute and chronic training load ratios. Josh is the men’s assistant soccer coach at Duquesne University. Following a professional playing career that spanned 3 years in the Major Arena Soccer League with the Rochester Lancers and  in the USLPRO with the Rochester Rhinos, Faga began his coaching career. He  also enjoyed a standout collegiate career at St. John’s University of the BIG EAST and Marist College of the MAAC Conference, both NCAA Division 1 programs. Faga was a 3 time All-MAAC selection, 2-year captain, and won 2 BIG EAST Championships and advanced to a NCAA College Cup during his college career. Additionally, Faga holds a MBA from Marist College.
